Hi all, I increased the log level, and found something very interesting out. I know now what causes a sbmd to go into infinite hibernation on Solaris. I'm building a RedHat fileserver using an HP LH3 fileserver. I can't get the sbmd running however. The trial machine we've been running for 4 months now has the same setup and works perfectly. nmbd runs ok, but when I look at log.smb, it says bind failed on port 139_0.0.0.0 address already in use. Every now and then one of my lusers sets up a machine which attempts to be a local master and/or a domain master for our workgroup. This sucks since we want our samba machine to *always* be the WINS master server. (we have os level set to 255 for this machine) but appearantly it still loses elections that come up from time to time. The only way I know when this happens is when people come to me
