Samba Point-and-install driver location problems
Hi, I'm trying to configure my Samba server to support Point-and-install driver installation of a CUPS printer (the printer works with Samba when Point-and-install is not configured, and the driver is installed manually on Windows XP). I've gone through the actual configuration process, and am able now to just install the printer on Windows XP machines via the Samba-supplied driver.

how to debug hardware lockups?
Hi, We have a server which locks up about once a week (for the past 3 weeks now), without any warning, and the only way to recover it, is to reset the server. This causes unwanted downtime, and often software loss as well. How do I debug the server, which runs CentOS 5.2 to see why it locks up? The CPU is an Intel Q9300 Core 2 Quad, with 8 GB RAM, on an Intel Motherboard The last few entries

I am having a problem with rsync hanging after completion. The command I am using is: rsync -vaz --delete /banproc/ backenp650:/banproc (thanks jw for the syntax correction) There were 56 deletions on the destination and ~ 1380 files copied total (I gathered these stats by using grep and wc -l on a saved file of my ssh session to the source host). Getting distinct result lists
Is there a way in Ferret to do something akin to SQL''s "SELECT DISTINCT" query? I have a table with multiple columns, and I would like to search just a couple of them (but index others for other kinds of searches on the table). The two columns I want to search do not have unique values, because the other columns finish specifying the record. Is there a way to avoid picking up

Im using an application called saturn for my university assignement. The problem is that it fails to fully operate under linux with wine. If im not mistaken the application works like this: Satwin is the windows front end that calles *.bat files that are part of the suit saturn. While wine loads the satwin front end perfectly it fails to execute the *.bat files that are part of the saturn suit.
