Hello all, I've been on a real roller coaster ride getting a large virtual host up and running. ...x is running an asus dsbf-de board, with 2x e5405 cpus and 16g of ram. There are six drives on the ahci, one 80g "system" drive (the boot drive), and five 750g storage drives. There is also a supermicro 8 port sata hba in the system, with five 250g drives on it. The supermicro uses the sata_mv module and is detected just fine. Thanks for any suggestions! Gordon

...I and Marvell SAS/SATA controller chips. So, I replaced the two drives (SATA-300) with two faster drives (SATA-600) on the off chance they might respond fast enough before the drivers move on to other duties. That didn't help either. Each group of arrays uses completely drivers (mptsas and sata_mv) but both exhibit the same problem, so I'm mystified as to where the real issue lies. Anyone care to offer suggestions? Chuck

So, I have been running into network problems for a while on 4 boxes that I installed xen on so that some engineers have places to test code. This particular problem is happening on all 4 of these boxes. (although, it isn''t happening on an older box running xen from debian etch).
