Please help with loop, thanks
Dear R helpers,
I would like to write a loop that makes 4 objects (called A, B, C, and D)
each of which contains ten random numbers.
This attempt:
individuals<-c("A","B","C","D")
for(i in 1:length(individuals)) {
individuals[i]<-rnorm(10)
}
does not work because "individuals[i]" is not the proper way to extract each
letter from the

Make my plots bigger and reduce white space around panels?
Hi,
I have made a plot with panels (attached) using R code (below) and I'd like
to increase the size of each panel and decrease the white space, especially
the white space between:
1. rows of panels
2. the top panel and its title (which contains info on r2 and N)
3. each panel and its x label.
I've dug around in the plot help files but can't seem to find how to do
this.
Any help

[PATCH] Tighten /etc/crontab permissions
Hi folks,
While investigating OpenBSD's cron implementation, I found that they set
the systemwide crontab (a.k.a. /etc/crontab) to be readable by the
superuser only. The attached patch will bring this to FreeBSD by moving
crontab out from BIN1 group and install it along with master.passwd.
This change should not affect the current cron(1) behavior.
Cheers,

Change positions of columns in data frame
Hi all,
Probably a simple question, but I just can't find a simple answear in the older threads or anywhere else.
I've added some new vectors as columns in a data frame using cbind(). As they're all put as the last columns inte the data frame, I would like to move them to specific positions. How do you do to change the position of a column in a data frame?
I know I can use

Hi,

After the literature review on the topic, I found Tangent or MIaS system

I plan to pick Tangent because it performs better. Also, it has a good
literature(thesis report and few papers available) and reference code
available.
I keep the summary of both the system, I

Problems with park
Hi. I've spent the past four hours on this... if it's a FAQ, I apologize.
I am setting up a system with Asterisk 1.4, a TDM400 (3 FXO, 1 FXS) and
3 Aastra 480i CT phones. (1.4.1 firmware.) I have the system mostly
working, but am still having trouble with a couple features. This email
will deal with parking.
First, I think I should point out that transferring calls seems to work
