Ciao a tutti ho appena iniziato ad utilizzare R per ora per attuare un'analisi geostatistica di dati. Volevo sapere come poter creare un oggetto gstat partendo da un file testo(che ho gia importato con read.table)e che contiene 3 colonne: x,y,value. Helo I have a big problem with samba and windows 2003 ads. I have a DC in win 2003 and centos4.3 with samba ADS. Registration of samba in ads has gone well , kinit gives no error and also net ads join worked well I can access shares based on the user in my DC, I am not using ACL, only the permission in the system and DC. I'm deploying my KVM virtualization and I have this question. To get my guest os best performance I would like to install my OS from CD ROM while booting in a saperate disk, say /dev/sda4 then in host os I mount /dev/sda4 as /mnt/vm. So I can install a guest OS by virt-install with synax --import, right? I didn't give it a try yet so I'd like to know if other people have done it

I have a little home network with one Windows 98 PC and a pc running linux. My idea is that as soon as DSL is finally made available to my area (which I keep getting told will be real soon now) I want to route it through the linux box and up to the Windows PC, using IP masquerading, etc. At present I have samba enabled on the unix box which opens up several worthwhile conveniences to me:

Linuxbox with Samba 3.0 has been joined Win2k domain with command "net ads join" & "net rpc join". winbindd & smbd & nmbd started successfully without any error messages. I could use "wbinfo -u" & "wbinfo -g" to get domain user/group list. But I cannot use "genent passwd" to get New mapped uid, it only returned local linux accounts.
