Backup from Linux onto Win2K-share
Hi.
I'm running Kernel 2.4.19 and Samba 2.2.5.
I'm in need to do a backup out of big SAPDB database (60 GB)
onto a share on a Win2K-box (all my databases have to backup
onto this w2K-box where they get saved on tape).
This works fine as long as it comes to 2 GB. Than it stops with
the message "file size exceeded". Obviously there is a file size limit
somewhere in Samba.
How c...

(SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8). I tried REDHAT and SUSE 8.2
and MANDRAKE 8.1 on different boxes at home as well - no
change.
Q: Did you try SAMBA 3.0.1?
A: Yes. On a different Linux box I compiled SAMBA 3.0.1pre
from scratch. It did not make any change.
Q: Did you contact SAPDB (manufacturer of the database)? Do
they have a limitation in the database?
A: Yes, I made a ticket at SAP for that. There is no limitation
insided the code of the database. I can sign for that, because the
Windows-release of SAPDB can backup endless Gigabytes to the
same share on the W2K box. I'...

[patch] Builtin Mysql authentication
Hi,
I would like to propose a patch that authenticates users in a
mysql database without the use of nss-mysql or pam-mysql.
I have a working patch, such that in case of a failure in getpwnam()
it searchs for the user in a mysql database and fills his pw password
struct. Although my actual patch uses pam-mysql to authenticate, I think it
would be better if all authentication is
