[Newbie] Trying to use Inflections in a non active record class
Hi
Sorry if this is too silly to ask. I did RTFM and didn''t find anything
obvious.
I have a helper class for my controller which needs to singularize
words. I need to access methods in the
ActiveSupport/CoreExtensions/String/Inflections class. Doing a require
''ActiveSupport/CoreExtensions/String/Inflections'' fails.
How do I add this specific class to a helper class

Null values in R
Hi R-helpers , can you please let me know the methods in which NULL values
can be handled in R? Are there any generic commands/functions that can be
given in a workspace,so that the NULL values occuring in that workspace (for
any datasets that are loaded , any output that is calculated) , are
considered in the same way?
Thanks in advance.

Relative stylesheet reference
Problem: The HREF generated by the stylesheet_link_tag is an absolute path.
Details:
The layout for my view has the following line
<%= stylesheet_link_tag ''scaffold'' %>
At runtime, this gets translated to
<link href="/stylesheets/scaffold.css" ... />
This does not get resolved correctly. The problem is the leading slash. It should be

non-numerical values as input using nnet
Hi R-helpers , am trying out nnet package in R. Does nnet package work only
for numerical values as inputs? Can somebody give an insight on how
categorical values as inputs are handled using nnet in r with an example?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Retrieve model from R without save
Hi All,
We have an application which uses R algorithms. We are currently using
save() command to store models. But for save() command, we have to give the
filename. But, in our application, we cannot afford to save it in any
specific location. In this case , for accessing the models generated in R ,
we cannot use the save() command since, save () stores the pmml in local
file.
Is there any way

Accuracy/Goodness of fit of nnet
Hi R-Helpers , am working on nnet package.Multinom() has an option for
finding the goodness of fit by giving the AIC value. Does nnet also gives
some value to determine the accuracy. If not, can you guide me with some
procedure to figure out the accuracy/goodness of fit of nnet model?
Thanks in advance.

Help in kmeans
Hi All,
I was using the following command for performing kmeans for Iris dataset.
Kmeans_model<-kmeans(dataFrame[,c(1,2,3,4)],centers=3)
This was giving proper results for me. But, in my application we generate
the R commands dynamically and there was a requirement that the column names
will be sent instead of column indices to the R commands.Hence, to
incorporate this, i tried using the R
