I'm trying to run a program called MapZone, used for designing textures.
It is freeware available at http://www.mapzoneeditor.com/?PAGE=DOWNLOAD .
However, it fails with those errors:

Logic Friday: crashes on entering an equation
Hello,
I want to run, in Wine, a program called 'Logic Friday'. It is used for
the analysis of digital circuits.
It works mostly, but when I try to input a logic equation it dies with
the error:

Macromedia FreeHand MX on Wine, doesn't create new document
....1.1 on Arch Linux.
It installs OK, but I can't create a new document.
When I go on File => New it gives an error ("Could not complete your
request because an error occurred") and then Wine dies with a
segmentation fault.
Final words from Wine before dying:

...a) a GEE with a negative binomial family and/or b)
making sure I am specifying the random effect in a GLMM correctly to
account for multiple measures within and across years, that would be

Those counters both got reset relatively recently: the Python 3 (ne? 3000) and Ruby 1.9 transitions were fairly traumatic.
I?m sure Oracle wishes Java 6 would disappear finally, too.
There is no sanctuary, Les. Change is everywhere in computing.

You naturally will not already have Dockerized versions of apps built 10 years ago, and it may not be practical to create them now, but you can start insisting on getting them today so that your future OS changes don?t break things for you again.

Yager on ZFS
Not sure if it''s been posted yet, my email is currently down...

Interesting piece. This is the second post from Yager that shows
solaris in a pretty good light. I particularly like his closing
comment:
"If you haven''t checked out ZFS yet, do, because it will eventually
become ubiquitously implemented
