FW: Samba 3.0.2/LDAP and Adding a Workstation to the Domain
Well, the log shows that I'm getting an Access Denied on the
SAMR_OPEN_DOMAIN rpc... does that point anyone to my problem?

USRMGR.EXE won't add user
...es, put the
client back by pdbedit, rebooted client, ran usrmgr.exe.
Can you help what can be set wrong in my case? Config files and scripts follow.
Logs don't say any error. There is a bunch of DCE RPC calls in ethereal
logs:

Samba 3.0, ldapsam: joining the domain results in "Access Denied"

The whole reason for this exercise is to establish a Single Sign On
environment. I have the Linux side working well using PAM/NSS_LDAP. It
seems that the relevant part of the log is as follows:

PDC+LDAP+Win2k/XP domain logon
...installed samba 3.0.1pre4 from cvs tree with ldap-2.0.27.
I can log in with administrator but can't get my machines (win2k and XP)
joined into the domain.

Creation of Domain- and PDC-SID in samba

just a question to understand
we have a NT PDC and i successfully transfered it's data to samba 3.0
because we're cautious i let the NT PDC "online" (domain=evan) and
introduced samba with the same date in a new domain (domain=testevan)
for testing purposes
to get rid of conflicts i had to change the SID of the samba server,
because my knowledge tells me: "a sid
