I have 1 working example, the IT folder (as example). The problem I am
facing, however, is subsequent new folders.
In this specific problem, I created 2 new directories in

sambaShare used?
Just curious, is sambaShare objectClass used by Samba 3.4.2? Currently testing Samba 3.4.2 with OpenLDAP 2.4.11 backend in test environment. Couldn't find out much about it other than it has 2 attributes and is part of the samba.schema.
Thanks

windows print migrator + "add printer command"
Hi all.
I was wondering if anyone had a successful exampel of using the "add
printer command" with cups so that the windows print migrator could be
utilised. Seeing as Jerry as spent time on this it would be a shame not to
know how to use it. ;-)
I'm guessing that it would be along the lines of:
add printer command = lpadmin option1 option2 && cupsaddsmb option1

Problems saving Excel sheets using Office 97 on a Sambashare
Nathan,
Thanks for the tips. Most of these settings were already in place, but the ones that were not already there I set up, with the exception of the 'force group' setting. I hesitate to try this simply because many of the subfolders under the shared volume are have their access controlled by group, and I didn't want to risk preventing others from accessing their files in the middle

AD shares in samba & permissions
Hi,
I have a redhat 6.5 with samba 3.6.9 and a working AD integration.
I used the redhat guide to create a share, but it's only working partly.
Ie the second group of valid users I add after the comma doesn't have access
to the share. You get a popup like access DENIED.
/var/log/samba/log.accessmachine shows the same error NT_ACCESS_DENIED.
I think it's due to the fact that

Samba share not working: getpwuid(1000) failed, Failed to finalize nt token & NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
I have a small home network with server and 5 clients all on an internal
LAN with private IPs.
Samba, Version 4.7.6-Ubuntu, file sharing is not working on the server
for any of the 5 clients. I have tried both mount.cifs and smbclient.
The same errors are thrown in the server's samba logs for all connection
attempts, regardless of how the client tries to connect: getpwuid(1000)
failed,

access using \\sambaShare\folder1 it prompt me for username and password,
