rebuilt XP machine cannot see Samba server
I have been successfully running a Samba server on my home LAN for several
years. It's on an old Redhat 9 P3 box. I recently rebuilt my laptop with XP
(after hard drive failure). I added just one user, the system administrator,
with the same user name and password as before. Now the XP laptop cannot see
the Samba server at all.

If I try to add a new printer on a win2008 R2 machine, I enter

Windows tells me that it has no suitable driver. Then I choose which
driver to use. Then it tells me ?access denied?.
