'inherit owner' doesn't play nice with 'force directory mode'
Hello
I am trying to create a 'dropbox' share, using the sticky bit and
'inherit owner'.
By themselves they work, but when a directory is created in this
share, its permissions are not quite what I need.
Therefore, I try to use 'force directory mode' or 'inherit permissions'.
However, whenever I do that, the owner on the newly-created directory
is no longer correct

Accessing printer from outside the domain
We need to give a user in another domain access to our printer:
our domain: OURDOM (samba)
other domain: OTHERDOM (AD?)
user's workstation: \\OTHERDOM\WKSTN, in other domain
printer: in our domain
user: JOEBLOW - an account in each domain with the same login/password
We're getting this error in wkstn.log:

NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND when print client tries to write to \epmapper named pipe
Hello all,
I've googled this but couldn't find anything relevant and the list's
archives didn't turn anything either, so pretty please someone take a
look at this if you can spare a moment.
My Samba server shares its CUPS printer, but Windows clients cannot
print to it (I haven't tried other CIFS clients). I have the
point-n-print driver all set up, so the Windows XP Pro

PROBLEM: Cross-subnet browsing is not working. Browse lists on all machines

Logon script
Hello,
I am having a little problem with executing logon scripts on Win95 clients,
logging into Samba Netlogon service.
When a user logges in, a MS-DOS prompt shows up and quicky disappears. Then
I get
"Please Wait While your logon script executes". It hangs at that point. A
user has to hit cancel to start his win95 session.
I have done the logon script in MS-DOS editor. I have the
