I wanted to use the sambaBadPasswordCount to limit the amount of failed logins on Windows clients within our SAMBA Domain. ...within the Domain-Object in LDAP. So i expect whenever a windows user does 3 false logon attemps his samba account will be LOCKED forever, until reseted by an admin. If i peek those parameters with "pdbedit -P" it will confirm my konfiguration. so it looks fine. I also found the "sambaBadPasswordCount" Attribute in every User-Object in the LDAP tree. Once an account gets the "L" flag set in sambaAcctFlags is there a utility way to clear the lock on the account? I can clear the sambaBadPasswordCount with pdbedit -z, but that leaves the account in a locked state. I don't see any way to use pdbedit or smbpassword to unlock an account (although I can enable/disable an account).

Hi, I'm trying to use the sambaUserWorkstations option to allow users to log on certain computers only. This option looks great... In fact it looks now a lot better than the 'ldap filter' one than was deprecated with samba 3.0.20... The fact is, if the sambaUserWorkstations option works well with machine names, it doesn't seem to work when specifying groups of machines.
