Win2K unable to connect to 3.0.1 shares

Samba4 DC with Secondary Questions
...steps repeatedly to have functioning DC's functioning Kerberos, and
functioning DNS. I am just not sure that I have done as best-practice.
The 'second' server is also up, but I am not sure it is as it ought to be.

I am currently using the Fedora Open directory with a posix structure
user information to authenticate several hundred Mac users.
Currently this is being done using the netatalk package for userId, UID,
GID, password, home directory.
What I am looking for is a way to move from netatalk to Samba without
losing my LDAP capabilities.
I have seen several post related to doing this but none

I've made sure the directories on Linux have full permissions and exist, but
smbd seems to think they don't.

I am currently working on setting an S4 domain to replace our aging samba 3
setup. We have found many answers on the net, in various documentation,
