xfs quota weirdness
Hi all,
I have a quota problem with xfs (xfsprogs 3.1.7+b1 on debian GNU/Linux 7
-- wheezy) and samba-4.1.19.
If I set a user quota to say 10GB, windows explorer reports a 20GB quota
of which none used.
If I change quota to x, windows explorer reports 2x space of which none
used.
So I assume samba is somehow getting (albeit incomplete and incorrect)
xfs quota info from operating system.

samba 4.6.12. users can't delete files
...in Member as the
file server. Both running debian Stretch and self-compiled samba 4.6.12.
Bind as DNS.
Multiple shares configured using windows ACLs. All work as expected except
for User Home Folders (https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/User_Home_Folders).
I've created a folder for each user under samba_homes/ and gave full
control to each user to his "folder, sub folder and files". Users can
create and delete subfolders, can create files, open and write to files,
but cannot delete or rename files.
If I check properties on files, I can see that both "full control" and

How to modify user fields with a command line ?
Hi,
On RSAT , we can see that there are some extra fields for users account
like description, office, phone number or email address.
I already have hundreds of user accounts in Samba AD but these extra fields
have not been fed. I would like to import in particular the email address
for each existing users, however I don't find a way to do that with a samba
command line.
Is there a way to

Automated printer driver problems
Hi,
I am having a problem with automating the download of printer drivers from
a Samba 2.2.8 server.
We used to use the server with he following options set:
use client driver = yes
disable spoolss = yes
However these options have now been removed from smb.conf.
Following the instructions available in printer_driver2.htm (supplied in
docs/htmldocs in the source), I can add a printer driver to
