filtering ts with arima

What's the arima.filt equivalent in R: filter doesn't seem to take the
coefficients for a seasonal model correctly, also predict isn't quite the
answer? Help is appreciated. Thanks,

R_eval in tcltk library
...sults from these functions appears to be lost
somewher. Both functions in the c code capture the result of eval in a
variable called ans, but that variable doesn't go anywhere apparently.
If someone has examples of calling R functions from .Tcl I would greatly
appreciate it. Thanks,

problem loading saved image
...:/grm/sdata/.rdata1") : an xdr real data read error occured
Can someone explain the cause of this? I hope this is not the end of it
because it would set me back quite a while in recreating the objects. The
image file is about 25MB. I'm using R 1.2.2. Help is appreciated. Thanks,

Summary of Forcing variables types when using read.table
Thanks to Martyn Plummer and Vele Samak for taking the time to answer my
problem. scan certainly will do the trick. However, having taken a look at the
code for read.table, it seems to me that I might be able to add in a "what"
argument and then just pass it down to the call to scan. But that won't be
today's project ....

R_NilValue blows up on Windows
...when it's returned, Rterm
doesn't know what to do with it. I tried another bypass:
SEXP NIL;
if (nrows <= 0) {
Rprintf("No rows...");
return NIL;
}
This works in most but not all cases. Weird!

watch out for quotes in data files
I have just spent a day trying to determine why I seemed to be unable
to read a file of microarray expression results into R properly. The
file was produced by the Dchip software developed by Li and Wong at
Harvard's Department of Biostatistics. It contains rows of
tab-delimited fields in the order
Probe set identifier
Probe set description
Array 1 expression
Array 1 call
Array 2 expression
