simple routing protocol for VPN redundancy?
...fferent ISP''s. I have configured VPN''s between all of the sites for each IPcop on ispA and the same for the IPCops on ispB. This way, if one of the ISP fails, I change the route on the router and my VPN''s continue to function over the other ISP. This is a very simple saftey but it works well and its pretty cheep. But I''m getting sick of changing the routes by hand and wonder if there is any way of automating the failover. What I was thinking of is maybe a script/utility that I could configure to ping a host on a remote lan and if I started to loose to ma...

Digium X100P vs Dodgy Ebay X100P
...to the Adaptec SCSI card I have in the machine and an Intel Pro 100 network card). No heat sink on main (DSP??) chip. Chip details removed from silicon chip covers. Claims to be FCC compliant but doesn't mention which parts of the rules or a registration number. Bears a TUV Rheinland Product Saftey logo. Digium X100P - Larger form factor with longer PCI Pins. Heat sink on main (DSP??) chip. Chips have all marking intact. Bears an FCC & CE logo and quote the relevant rules. It's supported! :-) Next using an infrared heat gun I checked the running temperatures of the main (DSP??)...

Then you missed value ranges and fpaccuracy. Anyway, here are some examples of optimizations which aren't implemented yet, but which have been seriously considered: metadata to mark C++ copy

Manipulating form inputs?
...al.new(params[:radical]) @radical.character.lstrip! @radical.character.rstrip! if @radical.save [snip] end But alas this does not work. Either the validates_length_of in the model gets it or, when I comment that out, MySQL complains about "string too long." (my second saftey net). Where can I intercept form data before it goes to the database? Taylor -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

DTrace as a security tool / http://systrace.org
I''d like to see if we can use DTrace to as the kernel implementation of the BSD systrace security policy system (http://www.systrace.org). I don''t really want to port systrace to Solaris because I think with DTrace we already have all the necessary in kernel hooks to do this. With systrace you express things like: "httpd can bind to port 80 but not any other port, it
