Offline files with Windows - again
Hi Guys
It saddens me to say so, but I'm going to have to order a copy of
Windows Server unless I can get this issue of offline files resolved.
Basically, we have a problem when users have "Offline Files" enabled in
Windows XP. When they log off, create or modify a file, and then log
back on, the files they have created/modified refuse to synchronise,
returning an error to the

Sad news about JW Schultz
I was saddened to learn today that JW Schultz was found dead back on
March 27th of this year. JW was a big help in the recent development of
rsync and I sorely missed his presence during the last release cycle.
JW was also the author of the Dirvish backup software, and Keith
Lofstrom (who provided me with the sad news) has plans to put some
memorial information onto the new dirvish site as

[LLVMdev] Final Windows MinGW buildbot slave document...
Hi,
Here's the final, confirmed working version of my Windows guide for how to
set up a MinGW buildbot slave. Please consider to include it in the
documentation on the LLVM website.
Basically, it saves the newcoming Windows user about two or three days of
experimentation to get it all working. I think those days are important as
many people balk at spending days on figuring out how to get

upssched
Hello,
(Saddened for my bad English)
I have just created a script to install NUT
I manage the events with UPSSCHED and I would like to know how to launch
this command via /etc/nut/upssched-cmd every 5 minutes to verify the
level of battery of the UPS and decide on the action to be run.
Is there an option in the configuration which I was able to forget?
Other question : there is another command

Calling a "subclass" correctly in a node def?
Hi Guys!
I played with this a bit and perused the Puppet3 docs, and tried a few
different ways of calling the module with no joy before giving in and
posting. I''m kind of new to all this so bear with me.
*Goal of module*
Singular module to hold both a mysql (client) and mysql-server class.
Module default would be ''mysql'', or for mysql-servers we''ll call

any updates w.r.t. lapply, sapply, apply retaining classes
Hi All,
I don't have a "I need help" question, so much as a query into any
update whether 'R' has made any progress with some of the core functions
retaining classes. As an example, because it's one of the cases that most
egregiously impacts me & my work and keeps pushing me away from 'R' and
into other numerical languages (such as NumPy in python), I

Only 2.5G of RAM available then syslinux64.efi boots 32-bit linux 686-pae
Hello,
I'm booting linux-3.16-686-pae kernel (32-bit) via syslinux.efi 64-bit version.
After boot linux sees only 2.5G of RAM while system has 32G installed.
If I boot the same kernel with GRUB64 efi instead of syslinux
then amount of RAM available to linux is 32G.
Is this a bug or I'm missing something?

Thoughts regarding the database compromise....
1] not using secure http for log-ins seems a bit 20th century.
2] to join this mailing list, I needed to send my new credentials over unsecured http - see 1] above.
3] to change password from the compromised reset password, I need to use unsecured http - see 1] above.
My point here is that if you are saddened, upset or concerned about the compromise, might the 3 above points also be on the list

I appreciate the replies. Hopefully someone might be able to come up with
some contribution / answer.
The Syslinux code has already received at some point some patches
regarding the EFI
