Where to see a printer...
I installed a printer, HP DeskJet 6122, which has no
Ethernet device inside. In Windows, I use a local port
with address \\darkstar\hp6122. The printer work,
but I can see it only in Windows menu "Fax and Printers",
not in the share resource of Samba, even if I set
my smb.conf with "load printers" and, in [printers].
"browseable = yes" Is it all ok?
Thanx

Benchmarks with imaptest
Hey guys,
Has anybody ever used imaptest to benchmark *ONLY* reads? I'm trying to run
a battery of tests in my new cluster and apparently no combination of
parameters works, because fetch instruction doesn't run. Below is the
command I'm using and its partial output
imaptest/src/imaptest host=$SERVER_IP port=143 user=teste%d at example%d.com
pass=$TEST_PASS users=10 domains=10

CUPS message
I've a Windows printer, configured via CUPS.
In spite of the fact that it works fine, in the
browser page of CUPS (Linux client side)
I read: "Can not get the ticket cache for root".
How can I eliminate this message?
Thanx!

Public printing
In smb.conf-sample I read:
#====== Share Definitions======
[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
browseable = no
# Set public = yes to allow user 'guest account' to print
guest ok = no
writable = no
printable = yes
Which difference there is between
"public = yes" and "guest ok = yes"?
Is it necessary to write both there lines

problems with quota and clients
Hi, I had configured dovecot in a pretty standard way and had it working
nicely enough with maildir quotas (no tests done apart for reaching the
quota and looking at mails coming back). Still I wanted to have the
quota and the actual quota usage displayed in postfixadmin (3.5) but I
think I messed with something. Now I can connect to the mailbox, send
mail, receive mail, see the quota usage
