On the ups killpower via ethernet

I read in the snmp-ups manpage that this driver does not provide a
shutdown function because there will be no network at the point it is
called.
So I studied the Ubuntu initscripts, and in fact the network is killed in
/etc/rc0.d/S35networking
while the driver would be called at
/etc/rc0.d/S90halt
so this is correct...
however!
...disabling the S35networking seems a simple fix to me.
I don't see any obvious problem in having the network interface up while
halt is reached. At most for kexec could be a problem (not tried) but we
can do without that.

Cyber Power USB UPS'.
Greetings:
I'm evaluating two replacements for UPS upgrades to my dept. Because
the CyberPower OP650 has been retired, we are evaluating the
CyberPower600VA and the CyperPower 1000AVRLCD. We will be evaluating
others.
Initial configuration and communications are established via the
usbhid-ups driver, the gambit of tests are all passed with the
exception of one. I seem to be failing

Shutdown problem with Geek Squad GS1285U
Nut will monitor the ups and shutdown Linux when the ups goes to low
battery as it should. But the UPS is not shut down so the system will
restart when the power is restored. If I switch the UPS off , restore
power and switch the UPS on the system will restart. I have not been
able to get nut to switch the UPS off after it brings the system down. I
can get the UPS to switch off with upscmd
