two methods for regression, two different results
Please forgive a straight stats question, and the informal notation.
let us say we wish to perform a liner regression:
y=b0 + b1*x + b2*z
There are two ways this can be done, the usual way, as a single
regression,
fit1<-lm(y~x+z)
or by doing two regressions. In the first regression we could have y as
the dependent variable and x as the independent variable
fit2<-lm(y~x).
The second

Python plugin (Python API for Compiz)
Here is my python loader plugin which loads plain python
scripts as full plugins.
There is not much documentation, but I have included a few
examples to get you going.
triangle - Just a basic plugin which shows a triangle on a button
press. This shows using ctypes to pass values from compiz to the
python opengl bindings.
basiczoom - Zooms in on the screen (basically)

The future of Compiz
Where are we going?
It's time to start thinking ahead and really figure out how to make Compiz
survive, specially in lieu of Dennis' suggestion.
The reality is that there has been the equivalent of no progress since the
merge. We've basically only been in maintenance mode. The reason for this,
from my point of view, is a complete lack of direction and leadership.

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:
