WineTools 0.9 released
Hello,
with the massive help of Sven Paschukat I can proudly announce the new
release of WineTools 0.9. This version works together with the latest
versions of wine 0.9 and 0.91 and has many bug fixes.

NEW: Sociolects in R
The R translation teams have done a great job in making R usable for
people who do not have English as their mother tongue. However, even
within English speaking countries, there are groups which have trouble
with the language, and it may be valuable to support the Sociolects of
these groups too.
Thanks to a generous contribution from Lars Polifo, these features will
be made available in an

NOLF2 - Registry key?
Glad to see the work that has progressed so far with wine, especially in
the area of DirectX implementation.
So, with that in mind I compiled a fresh copy of 20050830 and began
testing my games. Started with an oldie but a goodie, No One Lives
Forever 2. Usually I couldn't even get past the opening screen. This
time, the game attempts to launch, but then a window pops up and says:

Shockware + firefox sound issues
I have firefox installed under wine (v1.5 on 20050830) and running
fairly well. I have installed Shockwave + flash, both of which seem to
work as good as their native counterparts (Native Windows in the case of
shockwave) except that sound in shockwave is jumpy and seems to be
suffering from an underrun issue. This is the output in the terminal:
