...ot needed because when serving
fixed bitrate streams you can limit bandwidth by limiting clients but not
all serve at fixed bitrate :)
If there is any interest in seeing this 2 features into icecast2 I will
try to look into it (I have some C experience, I hope I can help).
Thanks!

net/sock.c question
...e with
sock_write*() so we catch them all this way. Problem is that I think I
need a mutex on this values (kbps, kbps_time, kbps_bytes) and it seems
sock.c didnt use any yet. Whould it be a problem to use one ? (and include
thread/thread.h ?)
Any other sugestions welcomed. Thanks!

redundant code ?
...nts >= client_limit) {
client_send_504(client,
"The server is already full. Try again later.");
global_unlock();

Then just a little bit later, does the same thing in the if (source) {}
block.
Is this code redundant ?

htb qdisc on top of htb
.../32 flowid 10:10
The problem is I dont limited with 256 Kbit downloading from 1.2.3.4. If I
change flowid from 10:10 to 1:20 I do get shaped so its not from a filter
problem. Is it possible to use htb qdisc on top of htb qdisc ?
Thanks
PS: I am using last htb2

would never do in kernel (otherwise I dont see how you will do mountpoint
based badnwidth management).
Still it doesnt solve the problem I raised. With QoS you will shape by
lowering stream rates, which is something you never want for streams.

icecast 2 auth problem with (old?) ices, MuSe
...ion in which case this
libshout would need to be fixed). I will contact MuSe and ices devs if
this is the case...
Another question, if this is some old/broken protocol, is there a libshout
version that supports some protocol to connect as a source to shoutcast,
icecast1, icecast2 ?

More libshout questions
Okay,
I am using libshout to stream to a NullSoft Shoutcast server. I am
using libmad and libmp3lame to do re-encoding on the fly. I am streaming
to the server (currently) with shout_send_raw(). When I try to use
shout_metadata_add(), I get a segfault in strdup(). Anyone have any
ideas as to why? Everything else works fine, just not the metadata.
Thanks In Advance,
Deven

What would be even cooler is to see icecast2 handle certain QoS options
instead of just
rate limiting a sport a dport

[PATCH -qemu] nvme: support Google vendor extension
From: Mihai Rusu <dizzy at google.com>
This implements the device side for an NVMe vendor extension that
reduces the number of MMIO writes which can result in a very large
performance benefit in virtualized environments.
