2007-006 Ruby SSL Update on Debian
Hi *!
Just a heads up. The recent issues with the Ruby SSL Security Fix are
now available on Debian too.
I''ve updated the infos on
http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/RubySSL-2007-006
Summary:
DSA 1410-1 and DSA 1411-1 updating ruby1.8 to 1.8.5-4etch1 cause puppet
to fail, if the puppetmaster has no certificate matching the value of
the client''s "server" parameter, which is "puppet" by default.

EL5.1 client problems
...ted to add an EL5.1 client to our puppet server (EL5), and after

SSL certificate state of the union
Hello there,
Since the update with ruby all my puppet function is dead (well known
issue with the cert) . There has been some discutions on the dev list on
how to patch this for future versions. I have read the list and wondered
how we can solve the issue while waiting for the .24. I am in beta test
of the .23.x version but on my production system i wanted to find a way
to solve this now

Is the SSL issue solvable for (the apt-get) Puppet version 0.20.1 ??
...uppet).
Has anybody resolved this issue for the apt-get''ed puppet on debian etch? Is
there a way to prefix a more recent version during installation? And since
I''m a bit lost ... any other tips are welcome .. :-)

Thanx a lot people!

Gerard.
