T100P -- data?
Hi, all. I'm thinking of provisioning my (non-PRI) T1 to be part data, part voice (currently, it's only voice). With the T100P, how do I get it to "do" data? Just load up the HDLC module, and it gets an IP address? Or...? I tried RTFM'ing, but there just doesn't seem to be much on it (leastwise, that's readily findable). Thanks much, Ken D'Ambrosio

Polycom dhcpd.conf? [Or, "Some day, I'll figure this all out."]
I'm RTFM'ing, but I can't figure out how the dhcpd.conf file specifies the boot server, and how it differentiates between whether it's FTP or TFTP. I've tried option 66/next-server, and option 150, to no avail. And the docs just don't -- leastwise, in the way I'm reading them --...

Connecting Samba 3.0 to a Win 2003 domain
Hi, Just rejoined the list after many happy years of using samba in a production enviroment. I'm having problems getting my head around samba 3.0, or specifically, the UID/GID/SID mapping. I've been RTFM'ing but am still uncertain about the best way to go... I have a Win 2003 controlled ADS domain with five thousand users and just over a thousand groups. Users and groups (users and most groups have identical names) are also in Unix /etc/passwd and /etc/group files. Users access the Unix serve...

Printer: User Intervention Required - Use Printer Offline
...ect to the printer share in question, as asks me to check cabling etc [expletive deleted] I realise that the above is (probably) not a samba problem, but a windows problem. But I'm out of ideas. Does this ring any bells for anyone? Feel free to point me at relevant documentation; I've been RTFM'ing quite a bit to fix this, but none of the FMs seem to mention anything similar... -- Karl E. Meetme monitoring (once)
Has anyone found a way to monitor a meetme conference for only the first user? I find have one recording per user is pretty hard on the server performance wise... Suggestions?

Additional ogg audio fomats (speex, flac, PCM)
Hi After much googling, am struggling to find either: a) a command-line utility that allows me to encode to non-vorbis ogg audio (*nix) b) example files of the above Am building a program part of which reads stream meta from uploaded audio files, and so have written a lightweight getid3-like set of classes that do this. Am handling ogg vorbis perfectly well already and would like to test it

Fwd: Additional ogg audio fomats (speex, flac, PCM)
[Woops, forgot to reply to the list ; just sent the following to Ralph] Thankyou guys. > All Speex files (.spx) are encoded in Ogg, so speexenc is all you need for that. > The standard "flac" utility will encode into Ogg with the --ogg switch. D'oh! Have been RTFM'ing an awful lot lately, but I completely missed that flac has an --ogg switch > You may also wish to support Opus Great, thanks will take a look > No one uses ogg pcm at all. I think there are some experimental implementations, but I don't remember where they are. I wouldn't w...

documentation bug?
Hi, I'm thoroughly RTFM'ing in order to find out what I'm doing wrong <http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2009-October/thread.html#151046> and I noticed that links from the *Samba-HOWTO-Collection* to the *manpages-3* don't work... the problem is that both documentation sets are on different directorie...
