Strange: wireless card shouldn't work, but it works ?!?
Hi,
I know this is a rather unusual request. Normally, people would complain
about a card that *should* work, but here goes.
I have a series of machines in a computer room, all equipped with a
RT2561 wireless card. CentOS doesn't include support for that card, so
what I usually do to install a system:
1) Install a *very* minimal base system (the bare minimum).
2) Install some development tools (gcc, kernel-devel) from the CentOS
install CDs.
3) Copy over the driver source (rt2561-cvs-d...

System freezes with i8042_panic_blink on suspend

The system freezes too, if com-ports and sound is disabled in bios.
Could the network controller 'RaLink' causes this problem?
I am using the centosplus kernel cause of its support for isa sound
cards. Is there an other kernel with that I could avoid this panic?

...rk my wlan card (ralink rt61) with the driver from
rt2x00.serialmonkey.com under CentOS 5 (2.6.18-8.1.1.el5). All drivers
(beta and daily cvs) from this site freezes my system.
So I get the driver from the Ralink support at
http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Linux.html
(RT2501PCI/mPCI/CB(RT2561/RT2661)). With this driver, my wlan card
works very well (WPA2, AES).
CentOS 5 is great.

Hard(?) lock when reassociating ath with wpa_supplicant on RELENG_7
Hi Sam,
do you know if there is anything done about cbb(4)? I have many
wireless adapters with ath(4), but only the one based on PCMCIA is
making problems on FreeBSD.
I cannot boot my notebook with the device inserted into the port, or it
will render the system unusable (100% load on cbb(4)).
And all I can see is the following:
