I have so far been unable to get rsync to work properly in a test setup. Does anyone have any ideas? Both PCs are running RedHat 7.2. I have read the MAN page and the Rsync page and have set up an /etc/rsync.conf but I can't seem to get it working. I have tried starting the daemon and adding the correct entry on the server hosts.allow file, but I just get "Connection refused" from the server. After lots of testing, I believe that I have discovered my problem. I am trying to use rsync to synchronise a Red Hat 7.2 Server and a RedHat 7.3 Server and they have different versions of rsync on them.
