ShoreTel 210 MGCP phone drops calls with MGCP RSIP
.... The phone, meanwhile, seems to think it can continue the conversation until a few ICMP "port unreachable" packets set it straight. I am able to duplicate this on a fairly regular basis and it appears that the call is always dropped similarly. Everything is groovy until the first MGCP RSIP during a call. The phone seems to send these MGCP RSIPs (perhaps on a schedule, looks like every 120 seconds) even when there is no call taking place. Is my diagnosis correct? What can I do about it? ...Normal RTP, then one final RTP packet and the following... 1 0.000000 192.168.0.5 5004...

MGCP Transaction identifiers
I know this is not the most appropriated list to this, but I will try: Does anyone know what is the criteria to the generation of the transaction identifiers in MGCP? I mean, are they generated by a randomic method? I'm using Asterisk and MGCP eyeP Phone and observed that the RSIP and NTFY (methods created by the gateway) use high values in the transaction identifiers, while the RQNT, AUEP, CRCX and DLCX (by the call agent) use low values for it. I hope I could explain my doubt! Here are some examples: RSIP 18696 aaln/1@tramontina MGCP 1.0 RQNT 8 aaln/1@tramontina MGCP 1.0...

Call does not terminate correctly
...ection and we continue to stream audio. 3. The next call is attempted. We are now, not in the state that the call agent thinks we should be in and we are streaming audio to a UDP port that is now closed since the CA tore down the first call. 4. The unit is rebooted. (The T2 is hard reset) The RSIP that is sent to the call agent basically resets the state machine and now the T2 and CA are in sync. I'm not sure why this is happening, but maybe Asterisk can help. It's clearly something in their code, but I can't really tell any more than that. Our sequence of events: 1) Made f...
