rrd library missing
...Dtool gem. When I run "ruby -rRRDtool -e ''puts :yep''", it successfully returns "yep" (though not until I linked /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/ i386-solaris2.10 to /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/ RubyRRDtool-0.6.0/RRDtool.so). I was also able to generate rrds and pngs using the minmax.rb script includes in the examples directory in the RubyRRDtool gem source. I guess my question is, where exactly is puppet looking for the library? Is the library named RRDtool.so? Thanks for the help. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Go...

Problem with Cacti and CentOS 4.4
I just for the first time attempted to install Cacti from the RPMForge repo on CentOS 4.4. And I have to say that it hasn't gone very well at all. I have installed Cacti on Fedora a good 20 times with absolutely no problem. Basically the default rrds/graphs for localhost are generated but no other rrds/graphs are generated. When I look at the poller cache or snmp cache I see all the data. When I turn on Graph Debugging I get the following: RRDTool Command: /usr/bin/rrdtool graph - \ --imgformat=PNG \ --start=-86400 \ --end=-300 \ --title=&q...

Increase of rrdtool data when using Stef Coene''s qos nice scripts.
Hello everyone, I use the scripts from docum.org to manage the bandwith sharing and traffic graphs. For every user i happen to use about 4 classes. The /qos/rrds is a symlink to a directory which is in an ext3 fs. The problem is that i now have over 32 000 files there (about 600 classes), once in 5 minutes there is a lot of data to receive from snmp and to write in so many files. The machine seems ok now, but i expect to have 2000 classes in some future an...

Tracking down causes of btrfs thread activity
...ow the large majority of the disk I/O being taken up with various btrfs tasks peeking at 7-8M/s, namely: btrfs-endio-wri btrfs-delayed-m btrfs-transacti btrfs-cleaner I''ve already tracked down some sub-optimal performance to the fact I''m hosting a large number of RRDs which I''ve attempted to mitigate with moving them to a nocow sub-volume and performing the appropriate chattr magic on the host directories. However I''m still seeing these spikes occur at seemingly random times. My next suspect is our build directories which contain about 400Mb o...

monitor peak channel use
Is there a way to trigger an action when a certain number of zap channels are in use, or is there a variable that stores max used channels that can be read? I use PRI for inbound calls, but outbound goes out via SIP, so the simple solution does not work. I need to know when the potential exists for inbound calls via PRI/Wildcard to be blocked because there are no more channels. Obviously
