Speeding up simulation of mean nearest neighbor distances

"reaper" is not picking up new changes to my application???
Hi, Can anyone shed any light on why "reaper" (whilst seemingly working re restarting my mongrel ruby process) does not pick up changes to my application? (e.g. changing a title in a view for example). It''s like the "mongrel_rails start etc..." is just restarting the current process but ignoring the new details re where the new application directory is. That is

Upgrading a package to which other packages are LinkingTo
...lass object created by the old version, then yourpackage will be broken. (This AFAIK cannot happen with R6, so it is not the best example, but it can happen in other similar cases.) The key here is that R6 is a build-time dependency of yourpackage, similarly to packages linking to (i.e. LinkingTo) Rpp. Another possible type of build-time dependency is if you put objects from another package in yourpackage. E.g. myfun <- otherpkg::fun Then a copy of otherpkg::fun will be saved in yourpackage. If you install a new version of otherpkg, yourpackage is unaffected, and if otherpkg::fun uses some...

Devmode problems for printing
Hi all. I'm using wine-20010824 snapshot, and I'm trying to configure WINE PS driver. The setup is a No Windows one, on a RH 6.2 with KDE 2.1 and XFree 4.0.1 I've been successful in having the Printer Dialog showing the Wine Postscript Printer driver in the list, after applying the winespool patch from Takeshima Hidenori (winspool.diff). However, I can wine complaining about not

looking for adice on bigmemory framework with C++ and java interoperability
I work with problems that have rather large data requirements -- typically a bunch of multigig arrays. Given how generous R is with using memory, the only way for me to work with R has been to use bigmatrices from bigmemory package. One thing that is missing a bit is interoperability of bigmatrices with C++ and possibly java. What i mean by that is API that would allow read and write filebacked

[PATCH 00/25] xen: Xen implementation for paravirt_ops
Hi Andi, This series of patches implements the Xen paravirt-ops interface. It applies to 2.6.21-rc7 + your patches + the last batch of pv_ops patches I posted. This patch generally restricts itself to Xen-specific parts of the tree, though it does make a few small changes elsewhere. These patches include: - some helper routines for allocating address space and walking pagetables - Xen

[patch 00/33] xen: Xen paravirt_ops implementation
Hi, This is the Xen implementation for the paravirt_ops interface. The series is based on 2.6.22-rc1-mm1, and I think its ready to be cooked in -mm with a view to being merged in 2.6.23. The first part of the series is some small changes to the core kernel. Apart from the new code added in "Allocate and free vmalloc areas" (posted many times before), they are simply a few one-liners
