Help with transferring a second call from a snom 190
Hello List-
I'm having a problem getting snom 190 phones to transfer a call to
another local extension.
Here is the scenario:
A call (call1) comes in from the PSTN to (exten1). (via pri, if that
matters)
Another call (call2) comes in to (exten1).
(call1) is put on hold while (call2) is answered.
(call2) is then transferred to (exten2) using the "Xfer" button on the
snom phone. This

Problems w/Asterisk Realtime + MySQL + SIP
Hi all, Asterisk is great but I'm having issues with setting up
realtime for our call center, which is needed for login integration
with the rest of our applications (telephonists' web interface, etc.).
I have reviewed a large number of previous posts to the mailing list
and the voip-info wiki to no avail.
Setup is as follows:

Call drop weirdness
I'm running Asterisk 10.7.0 with three sip trunks to my call
termination provider. For the most part everything works great.
However, at apparently random times and usually about 20 mins or so
into the call, the outbound audio stream dies. The call stays
connected and the inbound audio works fine. The thing is, it happens
on such an irregular basis (once or twice per day) that I can't get

Re: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 5, Issue 219
I don't think it's the snom, (the break key is set to "off")
the "#" key is not being interpereted by the PBX as an attempt to
initiate a transfer.
Is this an error in my extensions.conf?

strange caller display
Hi all,
I am using asterisk1.2.14,realtime and I find there is a strange
case in the receiver's display. I have a dial plan to route a call
to the destination. I haven't set the callerid(num) for the caller.
In the receive ends, it's display shows "asterisk" when I make a call
to the receiver. I wonder why "asterisk" shows in the display as I
haven't set

There is no configuration option to configure this behavior. What is the
full SIP signaling?

Asterisk as a client: can I get the remote SIP server to ignore rport?
Hi list,
I have a fresh install of Asterisk 12.0.0 and I'm going to use it only
as a client. I'm trying to SIP REGISTER with a remote SIP provider.
The situation is that Asterisk is running in a VMware VM with a RFC IP
address (192.168.1.2). The provider of the VM performs static NAT from
the RFC IP address to a dedicated public IP address, however, they are
rewriting ports at will.

Cisco AS5300 --> [SIP] --> Asterisk - NO AUDIO
OK, here goes my next problem.
I have puchased a DID which I can connect to via SIP

Username: uka1xxxxxx
Password: 1000xxxxxx
Server: brxxxx.net:5160
My equipment is Asterisk CVS HEAD on Red Hat EL 3.0 (NO NAT)
The other end is a Cisco AS5300 (NO NAT)
I can register with the Cisco with no problem.
When I dial the DID it sends the call to my asterisk

PJSIP configuration question
I am not sure what you mean by the ful SIP signaling?
Here is the trace for the sip.conf which works successfully.
Below that, I will include the trace for the pjsip.conf which it seems Vitelity isn't accepting the ACK in response to the OK

I don't see anything obvious. The registration works though, right?

Asterisk 1.4.42 NOTIFY replies ignore NAT setting
Hi,
I've been trying to fix NOTIFY replies (specifically keep-alives) in 1.4.42
(I can't upgrade to 1.8.x at the moment for various reasons).
I've noticed for user agents that have a VIA header with a different
port than the port the NOTIFY was sent from,
the NOTIFY reply will always be sent back to that port, which is incorrect.
(Sonicwalls and other routers love to do this, even

Not a valid SIP contact - Asterisk 1.4.21.1 & Mitel SIP phones
Hi,
I have a client using Mitel 5212 phones in SIP mode with a 1.4.21.1
Asterisk server (and a couple of previous 1.4 versions). They're
mostly happy with the combination except for this one issue.
For incoming calls only, either originating from other local SIP
phones or from a PRI, calls won't get bridged (remote party get's
hung up) if the call is answer too quickly on the

Asterisk hangs up SIP call after 6 200 retransmits
I have the following scenario:

When an incoming call is received, often (but not always) Asterisk repeatedly sends a SIP 200 OK message and eventually hangs up the call.

Siemans SIP/PSTN phone S450
Hi All,
Just added a Siemens DECT SIP/PSTN S450 phone to login to my A*k server,
and I see "Got SIP response 405 "Method Not Allowed" back from
192.168.3.64" but the phone seems to work ok.
Any ideas where it falls over in the SIP protocol? I've included this
in the debug below.
