...to look for? One thing I notice w/c I think is weird is that we I losf the process of rpm -qa that's freezing, it's looking somewhere instead of /var/lib/rpm/ I supposed. .... The load factor on the server is 1.0, according to uptime. Top shows that it is running, using 100% cpu. Iostat shows around 25% usr load. Over the weekend my workstation (still on CentOS 3) started showing SMART errors, so we shut it down and moved everything onto a new drive. On reboot, the RPM database reports as corrupted and "rpm --rebuilddb" segmentation faults. Is there any reasonable way to recover from this, short of a complete reinstall? The machine is otherwise up though it''s quite likely some files
