Question about stubborn RPM
Hi, I've made mysqlf a RPM and installed it. After that i did what i shouldn' do: remove the files it installed. Now, i wnat to install it agai and i can't. Already rebuilt the rpm database ( rpm -vv --rebuilddb), used --force, --replacepkgs, --replacefiles, --justdb, --erase, --initdb, but no good. Been at rpm.org, but found nothing that i already know. Requesting assistance installing ESS for R on Redhat
I'm moving my R applications to a Redhat OS and want to install ESS. My sys admin has downloaded the rpm (emacs-common-ess-5.3.8-1.fc8.src.rpm), but when he tried to do the install he rec'd a number of warnings. We are not sure if the warnings are telling us that the installation did not occur or if other issues are unresolved. We have attempted to find the ESS executable with no luck,

update of rpm directory
Hi! I have an directory full with rpms that are installed on some machines.. what is the best way to update those rpms to the latest version? are there more optimal approaches then searching for each rpm names in an update repo and download one by one? Build environment for totem-2.16.7-7.el5_6.1.src.rpm
This package has a build requirement 'gecko-devel' which is fulfilled by 'xulrunner-devel'. But in the process of building the browser plugins two tools named 'xpidl' and 'xpt_link' are necessary. They werde once part of 'gecko-devel' but are now replaced by other tools. I haven't found any package that has these tools all the way back to 5.0. Maybe
