rpmfusion status?
Unless I've missed something (which is possible) there hasn't been any "public progress announcements" regarding rpmfusion in the past several weeks. Is there anything new to report? My ulterior motive is that I would love to have the convenience of a one-stop rpm shop for Centos/RHEL and Fedora, and it's my understanding that's what rpmfusion is intended to be... -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Melville Sask ~ http:...

conflicts in updating to CR repo
Note, first of all I haven't actually updated, I'm just running "yum update" to see what conflicts, if any, I get so I can be prepared when the final 7.7 release happens. I've traditionally used the nvidia packages from elrepo, but recently enabled rpmfusion (back when I started using 7.x, I disabled rpmfusion because it took them a looooong time to get a EL7 repository up). I use the priority plugin in yum, and have elrepo at priority 50 and rpmfusion at priority 60, so the elrepo nvidia packages should "win", but yum seems to be confused a...

ffmpeg
This is annoying. I've been trying to get motion working correctly on CentOS 6. First, there was no ffmpeg rpms. Now, I try to install it, and it's found on rpmfusion... except that it will not install. It insists that libfaad.so.0 is required, and tells me faad2-libs-2.6.1-5 from el5 is available. (I've done some stuff with my repos to try to get what I need for motion.) I installed faad2-libs. It *still* will not install, telling me the same: Error: Packa...

...y favorite third-party repository, though I understand that project is dead. I'm looking for a clean and viable solution to replace this. Here's what I intend to do. 1. Configure the base, updates and extra repos with a priority of 1. 2. Configure EPEL with a priority of 10. 3. Configure RPMFusion with a priority of 10. Now I don't know about the status of RPMFusion. Is this third-party repo still maintained? I wonder, since their home page only gives information about RHEL/CentOS 5 and 6. From what I understand, it's healthy to mix it with an EL+EPEL base. I'm planning to add...

6.4 : How to enable epel and the rpmfusions??
I've installed 6.4 on an old T30 ThinkPad, and I'm in the midst of setting it up. I can't seem to get an rpm of Pan for it, nor even to do yum update. Mousing around fedoraproject eventually got me to http:// rpmfusion.org/Configuration/ and from there to downloads for the free, nonfree, and epel packages (along with a caveat that tells you -- *after* you've gotten rpmfusion -- to get epel first :-{ ). The display on the T30 has given trouble recently; while it's working, I tried with packagekit to e...

openvpn client and KDE Network Manager - with CentOS7
...at what's installed on my old Fedora install I suspect I need these packages: kde-plasma-nm-vpnc kde-plasma-nm-openvpn NetworkManager-openvpn NetworkManager-vpnc However none of these are available in CentOS7, Note I have the centos extras and the EPEL repos enabled. I suspect that I need rpmfusion but I don't see that rpmfusion has a repo for CentOS7... Anyone have any thoughts? Can I simply install the centos6 rpmfusion repo? Thanks in advance

VLC package(s) for C6 ?
Hi listees! Just installed C6 (more or less) permanently on my eeepc. I've enabled rpmfusion non-free, rpmfusion free, elrepo, and epel, prior to this point I've been running fedora on it (f10 thru f14) and have always found VLC at rpmfusion. (but finally RHEL/Centos have become modern enough to support the eeepc's funky hardware, so I'm switching back--tired of the version...
