net rpc shutdown not working
hi
jI'm trying to shutdown some windows XP clients with
net rpc shutdown -S <name> -U administrator%password
but all i get is this error
[2004/11/26 10:44:32, 0] utils/net_rpc.c:rpc_shutdown_internals(4113)
Shutdown of remote machine failed!
I'm using Version 3.0.8-Debian
and le client are using winXP SP2 (the firewall is not activated)
if someone can help

Net rpc shutdown
...t;windows-ip> -U administrator" it works
fine, except that I get prompted for the password. After looking
through "man net" I can't seem to find a way to include the password (I
tried "-U administrator%password" but got "[2004/08/10 16:45:58, 0]
utils/net_rpc.c:rpc_shutdown_internals(2766) - Shutdown of remote
machine failed" back).
Am I missing a switch?

'net rcp shudown' with mashine account (-n -P) possible???
...%<passwd> -r -t 1 --comment=Abmelden
I wounder if this is also possible with an mashine account auth (from the
PDC)? I couldn't get it to work:
supzli02pdc:~ # net -n supzli02pdc -P rpc shutdown -r -t 1 -S <target-pc> --comment=Abmelden

Any sugestions ??
Question: Is this generally possible????
On the other hand quering user list works with -P :
