samba-2.2-CVS compile problem
hi!
i am d/l latest cvs (2.2 branch) at 2001-11-16, but got problem compiling.

rejected the tconX - Error
...t's only from one machine,
none of the others generate the error.
The basic error is:
"connect_to_client: machine KW1 rejected the tconX on the IPC$ share.
Error was : NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED."

Strange winbindd messages
Hi,
We are running samba v3.6.3 on Ubuntu 12.04 server. This is being used
with FreeRADIUS for wireless authentication with AD. We just logged a
set of messages from winbindd that I don't understand:

Authentication problem with samba 2.2.5

Both are very similar in setup so am surprised when I can access the shares
for superior, but not chub. The Unix permissions seem fine. The log for

CUPS and Samba without authorization
Perhaps one of you could lend us a hand with this...
We are trying to setup an open access print server using RedHat 7.3 and
Cups 1.15.
We are seeing the following error message on some of the log files related
to some Win2K users:

Problems with security = domain/server and samba 2.0.6
...thentication of new
connections usually fails. We have a pretty large NT domain with 40.000+
users and the syncing process can take up to one hour, causing samba
authentication to fail during this period.
When samba changes the trust account password, this shows up in the logfile:

Then the authentication fails if:

winbind problem, have workaround but...
...y, and haven't touched it.
I'll provide the configs if needed.
I've kept it updated as time's gone on for security updates etc..
the wonkyness seems to rear is head when winbindd gets restartes. In the
