Hi i've got a server with lenny installed on it with samba 3.2.5. My problem is that the var partition is sometimes full. In fact, if i use df command I watch the partition full, but if I use du command the partition is not full. If i use lsof command i see plenty of log samba files into /var/log/samba wich are very big, i have - to kill the process given by lsof associated to log samba

I've done everything stated in the various guidance to get a regular user to use virt-manager (graphical Virtual Machine Manager) under CentOS 5.4 with KVM. Placing the user in the kvm group and changing permissions on several files to include kvm has not worked...the user still needs to enter the root password to use the graphical VMM. I thought of pressing sudo into service for this task.

I use samba 2.2.2 with linux mdk 8.1. my clients machines run under win2k, everything is ok but sometimes when a user write a file to a service shared by samba with word, excel ... that seems to write ok, but when the user want to reopen this file, word or excel don't want to open it, because file is corrupted i think. Hello, people. Sorry but I found that when you do rsync to a not created destination it makes a mkdir in order to accomplish the work. The problem comes when there are some uncreated parents in the destination directories. That's just because in the builtin mkdir isn't specified the -p option.
