Any information on targetcli (fcoe) for centos 6? Close to end of my rope
Guys, Im trying very hard to get a poc iscsi target/initiator working
between 2 centos 6 machines. The targetcli seems buggy as hell - meaning it
does not look updated for the current version of centos or other
distributions output
some output -
notice the 2011 year
and I dont have the iscsi directory.
It seems commands can only be issued out of the corresponding directory...

Learning the Ropes of *
In having configured my first * server there are a few questions I could not
understand or find answers to
1) How does one use ztmonitor to adjust the rxgain and txgain. I have set
mine to -1.0 each to get rid of echo on std phones connected on the TDM10B
FXS module
2) Is it best to use a TDM card with an TFX and FXO module or is the the FXO
= X100p and FXS on TDM a good method?
3) How do I

Odds Ratio and Logistic Regression
Dear All,
I am learning the ropes about logistic regression in R.
I found some interesting examples
http://bit.ly/Vq4GgX
http://bit.ly/W9fUTg
http://bit.ly/UfK73e
but I am a bit lost.
I have several questions.
1) For instance, what is the difference between
glm.out = glm(response ~ poverty + gender, family=binomial(logit),
data=mydata)
and
glm.out = glm(response ~ poverty * gender,

Your "favorite" Asterisk application.
Hi, all. I've done some Asterisk recelling, but recently got roped into a
Sr. SysAdmin position. Our PBX is c. 1823, and -- well, as pretty much
all circuit-based systems do, it sucks. It sucks to administer, moves
suck... you know the drill. So, I'd love change to an Asterisk system.
My boss, who loves to spend money for no particular reason, wants to go
proprietary, though. So

Any long-time CentOS users on list using Ubuntu as well?
I've gotten roped into helping a local charity with some
computing/infrastructure snafus. It seems their last good Samaritan
installed Ubuntu all over the place and is "unavailable" now to clean up
the mess. CentOS has made me somewhat lazy because everything just
works out of the box for the most part and you've got the occasional
"yum update". :) These are

[LLVMdev] llvm code working on linux but not mac, 64 bit problem?
Hi,
Learning the ropes of LLVM. I have this simple LLVM assembly snippet
which compiles/runs fine in Ubuntu but won't work on snow leopard.
Somehow related to 64-bit? Anyone else experience this?

gcc -o if if.s
ld: 32-bit pointer out of range in _main from

Which is better? Microsoft Exchange 2016 or Linux-based SMTP Servers?

A public SMTP server is not the easiest thing to configure, period.
It is the quintessential rope on which many admins hang themselves.

learning the ropes. :-)
I have a question, are Thunderbird and evolution the only gui based
email clients
available for centos yum repos?
Thanks

How can I draw bars
I need to make a graphic to show problems on different parts of
chromosomes (think of a graphic showing the number of frayed threads
as colors along different parts of a worn out rope). I want to draw
bars going from left to right across a page and color different parts
of the bars in different shades. Each graphic will need to have
several bars of different lenghts corresponding to the

LLVM Developers Meeting JIT BoF -- Request for Topics of Interest
Hi All,
The 2020 Virtual LLVM Developer's Meeting is coming up the week after next.
I'll be hosting a JIT Birds-of-a-Feather session on Thursday the 8th at
10:55am PDT (See http://llvm.org/devmtg/2020-09/schedule/). I'm planning to
run this more like a Round Table: Minimal introduction, plenty of time for
discussion.
Does anyone have any LLVM JIT related topics that they would

FreeBSD5.1 as PDC cant connect winXP box
I am at the end of my rope, I am trying to get a winxp box to logon to a
pdc using freebsd5.1 and keep getting "Logon failure: unknown user name
or bad passsword." or "Access Denied".
I am trying to logon with 'root' and the user is in smbpasswd and
/etc/passwd. I think my problem is I am not sure how to add the machine
account into the samba server. I have tried just

Completar un for, que falla al faltarle algún dato.
Buenas noches;
Además del proyecto que comenté antes y con el que sigo discutiendo,
también me estoy peleando con otro... con el que también tropiezo.
Necesito reordenar los datos presentados en dos columnas a filas y
columnas.
Los datos ideales serían algo así:
Ques <- c(rep("Q1",3),rep("Q2",3),rep("Q3",3))

Suggestions please about what I need.
I hate to use that "noob" word, but in this case I think it might be
proper.
Our company is getting ready to get rid of Netware and start using
Samba. It will require that users log in and by doing so, have a login
script map drives to particular drive letters base on either their user
or group.
I've been administering Centos servers for quite a while. I have no

Duncan, sorry for roping you into this thread, but it seems that your
bots are basically the only concrete need that has been voiced for
supporting End-of-life'd (2.4, 2.5) Python versions. Do you have any
plans for bringing those bots up to 2.6 or 2.7? If it wouldn't take
you a long time, I think it would be benef...

Just trying my luck here but are there others in the list lurking that down under in Sydney? I'm happy to make something happen if there's at least *one* other person in Sydney. :)

PHP/Samba Authentication w/ tdb files.
Hello,
I am working on a web based file system access solution for the company I
work for. I need to authenticate users against samba's password database, I
found a project called PEAR::File_SMBPasswd that works with the older (and
now depricated?) smbpasswd file format, however it fails spectacularly when
using it with sambas TDB formatted files.
I have googled for the last week trying to
