NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORY accessing a DC shared resource
I have a working Samba 4.7.6 DC with the default /sysvol and /netlogon
shares.
These shares work perfectly and domain users can access them without any
issue.
Now, to ease experimenting with config files and stuff (it's not a
production server), I've added a /rootdisk share (path=/) limiting its
access ro root and domain admins:
---------
# cat /etc/samba/smb.conf
[global]
bind interfaces only = Yes
interfaces = lo eth_lan
netbios name = SRVADDC
realm = SAMDOM.LOCAL
server role = active directory domain controller...

Cannot use kickstart file to install CentOS 6.2 into a blank harddisk
I am trying using a kickstart file to install CentOS 6.2 into a new virtual machine (the MBR sector
of the harddisk is all zero), however I found that the installer cannot go through the harddisk
partition. It failed after I chose "Use All Space" at harddisk partition option.
The error message is:

Problems booting with SCSI CD
...boot floppy (using the right kernel,
naturally) and be able to pass a parameter at "Boot:" which says to
mount the SCSI CD (or for that matter other CD, on a machine which does
not support booting from CD). And then it would be possible at least
not to use the sequence of 5 installation rootdisks. I wonder if it is
possible to do that?
I hope that you can be of assistance to me, and also I am glad, if
possible, to be of assistance to you, by honoring your request to learn
about any problems that people may be having.

GRUB 2 dumps to grub prompt when installed on >4TB disk
...n a RAID-5 configuration. When installing CentOS 7 using the full disk capacity and booting in UEFI mode the machine dumps me into a GRUB rescue mode prompt.
error: disk `,gpt2' not found

If I use the PERC RAID controller to make the disk smaller ROOTDISK volume of 100GB in size and then a DATA volume of the rest of the disk the system boots just fine so this seems like a GRUB2 issue. Any thoughts?

Samba server in a failover environment
...nning on a pair of SUN servers (server-a and
server-b).
The samba shares are NFS mounted from a third SUN server (server-c).
I installed Samba 2.2.7a on the paired SUN servers under /usr/local/samba
(Samba 2.2.7a is locally installed on server-a and server-b, since
/usr/local/samba
is local on the rootdisk.)
The failover environment works like this:
. I manually start up Samba daemons (smbd and nmbd) on server-a
. Users are able to map Samba shares to their PCs, and they can read and
write
. While users have their files open, I manually stop all Samba daemons on
server-a
. Then, I manually start...

tick divider bugs
Hi all,
If you are using the kernel divider= option in your vmware quest, you
are probably aware of the bugs reported at:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=315471
Someone @redhat "confirmed" the fix is in the test kernel -92. I
tried it but it seems to have the same problem as before - when used
with clocksource=pit, it hangs on bootup. Wonder if some of you can
test this
