Typo in the documentation of prcomp. (PR#569)
The help for prcomp on R 1.0.0 states that the component sdev of the
return value is the eigenvalues of the cov matrix. Am I completely
mistaken, or should this be the _square root_ of the eigenvalues?
Also, the documentation is not very clear about how tol is used to omit
components. (The _code_ is clear, though. :-)

Incremental backups?
So I thought I'd get a head start for next week -
I have a low-power Linux box that has a few samba shares mounted, and
limited hard disk space. This box is connected to a tape library via
SCSI card.
I want to find the best way to create a full, then incremental backup of
the samba mounts, directly to tape. Some of the samba mounts are
appliances that cannot run any special

root_path and root_url undefined
Hi all,
I''ve just started working on another RoR project after a couple of months
away. I''m having trouble with named routes, specifically root_*
In previous apps I''ve used root_path and root_url without any problems, but
in this project (2.3.2 - the same as my last project where I used it) it
comes up undefined.
I''ve double and triple checking my routes.rb, and it all appears fine. I''ve
defined map.root and rem...

Re: CentOS Digest, Vol 38, Issue 15
...I opted to use my time for other tasks. Same for Amanda.
I use:

--ignore-failed-read \
--listed-incremental /home/root/backup/incremental_logfile \
. >$LOGDIR/root_$BACKUPDATE.log 2>&1
A full backup is done once every week, followed by daily incremental
backups: This is controlled by the tape status. Every Monday we
replace the tapes in the robot. So when no tape is loaded in the
drive this signals that a full backup must be done.
To make a full backu...
