I have a Compaq something with a PII-400 and an Intel 440BX/ZX/DX chipset. I put in a Maxtor Ultra133 PCI controller (which is a Promise PDC20269, same as their TX2) and connected the hard drive thereto. Before we go on, I should say that I **hate** both Promise and Compaq.
