4.1.0 auditing : can't get only wanted vfs operations to log
HI all, So I'd like to log the user's operations on some shares. As I need to know who made what when. I'd read a previous answer from Andrew about auditing, so I can see loggued operations. Modified smb.conf : > [global] > vfs objects = dfs_samba4, acl_xattr, full_audit > full_audit:success =none > full_audit:failure = none share is : > [journal] > path =

Authlogic and rails 3 : NameError in User sessionsController#new
Hi everybody, I''ve installed Authlogic on Rails 3 following the Railscast (http:// railscasts.com/episodes/160-authlogic), and the resources I was able to find on the web, but I''m facing a problem. Once I''ve generated the user_sessions controller and mapped the login and logout routes, I get an error if I try to load the login page : uninitialized constant

[LLVMdev] Trying to build llvm-gcc no x86_64 linux
I got this one fixed by rebuilding llvm Debug (oups). I had an old version. I now seem to have a classical message: version GLIBCXX_3.4.14 not found. I am indeed building llvm-gcc using gcc4.5. Is this the problem ? The fix to this problem indicated in README.LLVM does not help .. Thanks Romain On Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 6:43 PM, Romain Pechayre <rpechayr at gmail.com> wrote: > Thanks.

S4 dispatch for .DollarNames (utils)
Hello, I'm trying to make .DollarNames generic and implement a method for it in a package. .DollarNames is the function that is now called to get completion possibilities. My R code looks like this: setGeneric( ".DollarNames" ) setClass("track", representation(x="numeric", y="numeric")) ## A class extending the previous, adding one more

the graph gallery strikes back
Hello useRs and helpRs, Some time ago, in a gallaxy far away (here is the thread : http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/R/Rhelp02a/archive/46532.html ) we discussed about a graph gallery showing the power of R in that domain. I did some work around that, and there is a (pretty advanced) draft here : http://addictedtor.free.fr/graphiques/displayGallery.php For instance, there are some of my graphs,

[LLVMdev] Trying to build llvm-gcc no x86_64 linux
Thanks. It worked for a few more compilation lines. I now get the following linker error: undefined reference to llvm::MemoryBuffer::getNewMemBuffer(unsigned long, llvm::StringRef) I am surprised since the linker compile line already links with a whole bunch of llvm libraries ... Thanks for your help Romain On Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 4:03 PM, Rajika Kumarasiri <rajika at wso2.com> wrote:

[PATCH 0/2] Correct various strndup() problems
The current implementation of strndup() has some shortcomings that can lead to a fatal error. - If we pass a maximum string length larger than the copied length, we will corrupt some data beyond the end of the newly allocated buffer. - The maximum length does not prevent access to memory beyond the maximum length, which can lead to unexpectd errors with strings not terminated by 0.

serialization for external pointers
Hello, Are there any recipe to handle serialization / deserialization of external pointers. I'm thinking about something similar in spirit to the way we handle finalization of external pointers. Currently, if we create an external pointer, save the session, quit R, then load the session, we get a null pointer. One way I'm thinking of is to have an environment in the

Are there any plans to jazz up the main R website : http://www.r-project.org The look it have now is the same for a long time and kind of sad compared to other statistical package's website. Of course, the comparison is not fair, since companies are paying web designers to draw lollipop

R_parseVector and syntax error [was: error messages while parsing with rniParse]
Hello, [I'm redirecting this here from stats-rosuda-devel] When parsing R code through R_parseVector and the code generates an error (syntax error), is there a way to grab the error. It looks like yyerror populates the buffer "R_ParseErrorMsg", but then the variable is not part of the public api. Would it be possible to add yet another entry point to the parser that would

The R Graph Gallery {was boxplot statistics}
I agree with Martin "R Graph Gallery" has a lot of neat stuff. I also think there should be a on CRAN website a list of "R websites". And in a perfect world one of the search engines scope would get extended to search them all.
