BUG: ssh hangs on full stdout-file-system
System: Linux 2.4.18, openssh-3.4p1
Problem:
I use "ssh" and "tar" to backup remote directory trees to a local
hard-disk/file-system:
# ssh remote.server.org "tar -cz /home" >/backup/remote.tar.gz
If the backup-file-system runs out of space before the backup
completes, ssh starts hanging (waiting for the stdout-write to
complete).

recalculation of maildir Quota
Hello,
I intend to use maildir Quota for measurement only, not for applying
restrictions. Therefore I defined rather high values. That's working as
expected. Nevertheless it's not useful, because the recalculation time
is to high. This takes some minutes for my own mailaccount with 250.000
mails on a NFS storage. This would be to bad, but whilst this time, the
Mailclient hangs. Probably

convert-tool, exit code wrong?
Hello,
I use convert-tool regularly for converting mbox based mail accounts to
maildir based mail accounts. Today I tuned my convert script around
convert-tool. I'm irritated about the exit codes. It seems, they should
be inverted or am I wrong?
$ /opt/dovecot-1.0.10/bin/convert-tool rogtest1 /home/mail01/rogtest1 mbox:/home/rogtest1/mail maildir:/home/mail01/rogtest1/Maildir 1

user login on behalf of another user
Hello,
we are searching for a possibility to configure a user login on behalf
of another user with a PAM backend. This reminds to the behavior of a
master user. But a master user can access the mailboxes of all users. We
need this more restricted.
Example:
User "user1" and "user2" shall get access to the mailbox "info". We

ACLs - creating new top level folders
Hi,
I'm wondering, whether it's possible, to define an ACL on the mailbox
itself. We use Dovecot 1.2.15 (included in Debian 6) and maildir
filesystem layout:
/home/mail01/user1/Maildir/new \
/home/mail01/user1/Maildir/cur Inbox
/home/mail01/user1/Maildir/tmp /
/home/mail01/user1/Maildir/.folder1/new \
/home/mail01/user1/Maildir/.folder1/cur folder1

Device-mapper-multipath not working correctly with GNBD devices
Hi all,
I am trying to configure a failover multipath between 2 GNBD devices.
I have a 4 nodes Redhat Cluster Suite (RCS) cluster. 3 of them are used for
running services, 1 of them for central storage. In the future I am going to
introduce another machine for central storage. The 2 storage machine are
going to share/export the same disk. The idea is not to have a single point
of failure
