openssh-based file transfers (e.g. rsync, scp, ...) are running 40 (!!) times faster via IPv4 than IPv6
...y/relation between openssh and https, on Linux, correct? (Web Server is Apache)

looking for Prof Bates' file
Hello
I'm reading up on fitting truncated Weibull distribution to data.
There are posts in 2002 that point to this presentation by Prof Bates:

but now the file is not there. I can't find it anywhere else, Google
doesn't have a cached copy for it.
Could someone please give me a copy of this file, if they have it?

Failed to join domain using net join ads

I can ping phxwn01, and I get successful response from nslookup for _kerberos._tcp.phx.eng using type SRV.? I have tried creating the computer account ahead of time in AD.

gplot function - error
Hi all,
i installed the ggplot2 package via install.packages(), but the gplot function was not recognized in R console command. Is there any paths to configure? The error message reports that the function was not found.

Mails don't get deleted after POP3
Hi, there!
Well, I am new to dovecot, so please be patient with me:
I have a virtual server and want to setup simple mail delivery.
postfix, saslauthd and dovecot basically work fine.
The only open issue is, that (I guess) dovecot doesn't remove the
mail when it's retrieved via pop3 from the server.
It keeps sending me the same emails again and again.
(The mail client (Thunderbird) is

CentOS 5.2 and Bacula
Hi everyone,
I have a Samba server on CentOS 5.2 that I would like to and some backup
service to, I have been trying to install Bacula, because I want to backup
MS machines too, and there is a web GUI. But when searching around i google
I get a bit confused. about what packages I need.
Has anyone got bacula running on Centos or maybe guide in the right
direction.

Problem when remoting domU
...t seems to be ok. However, when i try to remote to domU the terminal stops working after 1-2 hours. It makes me vey annoyed when installing something and everything stops suddenly.
