RDMA/Ethernet wi ROCEE - failed to modify QP to RTR

On the same Ethernet configuration, Gluster/TCP runs fine, NFS/RDMA runs fine as does AMQP app. But qperf and rping utilities fail in the same way. Firmware on the HCAs is not the latest, is it worth risk to upgrade? I went in...

SMB Direct support?
...sentation.pdf I was wondering what the current support of of SMB Direct for Samba. I have a Windows 10 Pro for Workstations machine that supports SMB Direct natively and I also have 2 Mellanox ConnectX-3 dual SFP+ cards (one in the Windows machine, one in a local server) that both support RDMA and RoCE (RDMA Over Converged Ethernet). These systems are connected with a 10G SFP+ switch and fiber optic cables. iperf3 performance tests max out the connections, and I have enabled jumbo frames (MTU 9000). The server is currently running Debian 10 with kernel 5.0.15, with Samba version 4.9.5. I have o...

pt_pci_read_config offset issue
Using Xen 4.2 unstable rev. 25483. I get errors like this: pt_pci_read_config: [00:10:0] Error: Failed to read register with offset exceeding FFh. [Offset:ffh][Length:1] in my qemu log for a domU with some devices passed through to it. I investigated and found that at hw/pass-through.c line 1717

[RFC 0/3] VirtIO RDMA
Data center backends use more and more RDMA or RoCE devices and more and more software runs in virtualized environment. There is a need for a standard to enable RDMA/RoCE on Virtual Machines. Virtio is the optimal solution since is the de-facto para-virtualizaton technology and also because the Virtio specification allows Hardware Vendors to suppor...

Difficulty configuring RDMA in CentOS
...wever we are getting conflicting information on whether the RDMA is correctly configured.??? Some of what we have done and some of the data are below. Can you suggest what other tests and what other data we should get to debug this problem? /etc/rdma/mlx4.conf to set the port types properly for RoCE/IBoE usage. Edit /etc/modprobe.d/mlx4.conf to instruct the driver on which packet priority is configured for the ?no-drop? service on the Ethernet switches the cards are plugged into. vim /etc/rdma/mlx4.conf You can find the right pci device to use for any given card by loading # the mlx4_cor...
