sieve
Hi, is there a sieve option that can reject a mail directly without creating a new mail and sending that out? I know about reject "Reject message goes here"; but I am looking for a mechanism that can reject Mail. Postfix can use reject_unverified_recipient to connect to LMTP and ask if a mail would successfully be enqueued and will return the status gotten from the LMTP server if not.

equivalent of Matlab robustfit?
Hi, I've been using the Matlab robustfit function for linear regressions where I suspect some data points are outliers. Is there an equivalent function in R? Take care, Darren PS, This is the Matlab help on robustfit: >> help robustfit ROBUSTFIT Robust linear regression B = ROBUSTFIT(X,Y) returns the vector B of regression coefficients, obtained by performing robust

expressions in legends
Dear R-users, A few days ago I met the problem of using text produced with expression() in legend() being elevated relative to text produced without the expression() so that the alignment with pch and lty is also messed up. After ferreting through the help I finally came across an answer, the adj argument of legend(). You can see and example of this in the Math expressions example section of

white in the default palette
Dear All, [I'd already sent this message earlier (Apr 6) but as I had no response and I still see that it is the case in R1.5 I thought I'd try again] I recently encountered a problem (actually missed some data) because "white" is one of colours in the "default" palette and that does not show up to well on my transparent (on white background). Of course it is

Windows metafiles (emf) under Linux
G'day Folks, The R-help list has had assorted threads over the years on the best way for Linux users to produce EMF files, mainly for exchange with Windows users. There have been various suggestions for how this may be possible or ways around the problem, via other formats, but none have seemed very satisfactory. I've found what seems to be a quite simple way to produce EMFs from

selections using text strings (result of noquote)
G'day all, I am trying to use a string as an argument in a selection but things are not working as I expect, seems the selection is not seeing the expanded string and I do not know how to make it. Perhaps the noquote class value that is returned is the problem. Here is an example. > selection #this is my string [1] "attackprogress$Se=='Toona ciliata [19825: JMM35]'"
