Good Morning, I recently compiled Samba 2.2.7a as a 64bit executable on Solaris 8. The Solaris 8 server is configured to permit 65535 files to be open, while Samba has been configured to allow 65500 files to be open. Our past attempts to do so have failed due to dovecot-auth using up all 256 of its file descriptors. I say 256 since we are limited to that by the 32-bit libraries.
