bug in R 2.7.0 (PR#11497)

It does give the pompt, but the object x is not created.
We think this is due to a bug in the function parse.

meta regression in R using lme function

where sigma is fixed to 1.
In R we do not know how to fix sigma = 1 in the lmeControl. Has anyone
experience with this? If so, how can we solve this problem?
We can't stand that we can do it in S-Plus, but not in R!

environmental data as vector in PCA plots
Hi,
I want to include a vector representing the sites - environmental data
correlation in a PCA.
I currently use prcomp (no scaling) to perform the PCA, and envfit to
retrieve the coordinates of the environmental data vector. However, the
vector length is different from the one obtained in CAnoco when performing
a species - environmental biplot (scaling -2). How can I scale the vector
in order to
