question about scrolling up
Is there a way to scroll up to see R's output (in Linux, in
particular) without using the scrollbar (i.e., without using the
mouse)? I find that hard to control.
This has become relevant because I've just discovered an
(apparently) undocumented feature. If you write a file of
commands, you can run the file by saying source("file.R"), for
example. If you include statistical

PHP 5.2 on Centos4
Bit of an emergency as I'm told this laptop has to leave here in 15 minutes,
I've gone ahead and configured, made, installed PHP 5.2 but an httpd restart
still only sees the old PHP 5.0.4, I think there's a fairly simple way to
get it to find the 5.2 version I've just installed but can't think what.
Any help gratefully received!
thanks

Commenting in an ERB without generating a compiling error
Hello,
I have the following:
<% @projects.each do |project| %>
<tr>
.
<td><%= link_to ''Destroy'', project, :confirm => ''Are you
sure?'', :method => :delete %></td>
.
</tr>
<% end %>
How can I safely comment out the TD line above? Do I have to use the
=begin way?

You naturally will not already have Dockerized versions of apps built 10 years ago, and it may not be practical to create them now, but you can start insisting on getting them today so that your future OS changes don?t break things for you again.

Is that all this is? Trying to get someone else riled up enough that they?ll fork EL6 for you?

Well, I've avoided a couple of traumas then. But those transitions
don't seem to have completed. And they probably won't until all
distros ship multiple versions so programs can co-exist long enough to
fix the broken parts.

No - mostly hoping someone would point out something I had overlooked
that makes the transition easy. I thought the computers were supposed
to work for us instead of the other way around.
