7.1-stable (righ after release) locks up on soekris net5501 every day
Hello, Freebsd-stable. I installed 7.1-STABLE on my new Soekris net5501. Kernel config is in attach. This unit lock up in strange way every day. It is pingable, but no access to host on any network protocol (sshd, named, etc are not answering), and serial console (only one this unit has) DOESN'T ANSWER too! Only way to un-freeze it is cold reboot. I've thought, it is

mistake in Italian translation
...m is dead here: http://developer.r-project.org/TranslationTeams.html I've found an annoying mistake in the italian traslation of a base error message: ## > d <- data.frame(a=1) > d$a <- 1:2 Errore in `$<-.data.frame`(`*tmp*`, "a", value = 1:2) : dati sostitutivi con %righe, i dati ne hanno 1 ## This is a little cryptic message for the final user, if compared with this: ## > Sys.setlocale('LC_MESSAGES','C') [1] "C" > d$a <- 1:2 Error in `$<-.data.frame`(`*tmp*`, "a", value = 1:2) : replacement has 2 rows, data has 1 #...

Not able to get eth0 up on domU.
I am using ttylinux-xen file system image a a loopback device for the domain. I am mostly using the default configuration. I am not able to get networking on the domU. Are kernel "vmlinuz-2.6-xenU" as well as "2.6.11.12-xen0" both compiled w/o loadable module support? I guess it fails when it tries to initialize the iptables on the domU when it tries to do "modprobe".

Incorrect currentMemory for qemu-1.2+
Hi, Since this message(https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvirt-users/2012-October/msg00054.html) qemu folks have released one minor version in the 1.2 branch and shiny new 1.3 some days ago and the problem still persists. At first I has blamed libvirt, but I was not correct at all - since I have released package ``slices'' for myself including both newer libvirth and qemu, I wasn`t able

Problems with XP clients and profiles
Hi all I recently built a samba box to try and straighten up a nasty setup that my predecessors had running. The old setup was a Win2k box running AD, which I know very little about. All of the clients are running WinXP; some of them were authenticating via the Win2k box, some were just using local accounts. In either case, all files were being stored on the client machines, the server was

Re: Open source IP phone, maybe?
Hi! I think it is a great idea. The DS80C400 needs external memory, and/or flash. It have the Ethernet integrated, but it is really slow (it is 8051 architecture), and yes, I know it can go up ti 75Mhz, but only gives 18MIPS max. I would use ATmega128 from atmel (16MIPS at only 16Mhz), take a look at: http://www.ethernut.de (project using mega128 with Ethernet, includes schematics). It

Strange problem with icons on the desktop
Thanks everyone for helping me get the home directories working over SMB, especially Ben Ford for his workaround for the Xauth and GDM. Now I've got a problem that, most likely, nobody's ever noticed before... or is something specific to me. I've got a Linux client, and a Samba server, and a Windows 2000 server, both set up EXACTLY the same. I've got a test user and the home

I thought we could have a flag in the LLVM IR that could

How to use different SASL mechanisms for ssl connections
Hi I would like to set different SASL mechanisms for users trying to login (POP3/IMAP/Managesieve) on encrypted channel, than for those on unencrypted connection. Specificaly: For users on unencrypted channel, i need to allow login with CRAM-MD5 (to improve security - I have users who require unencrypted connection but i cant let tem use PLAIN login, of course). But for users on
